With funding support from Watford Borough Council, we have been running regular workshops at Watford’s New Hope Trust for almost 5 years, supporting adults who are homeless, at risk of homelessness and experiencing difficulty in their daily lives.
Through facilitating art sessions in a calm and focussed environment, participants are able to explore specific skills in techniques such as print-making, mosaics, book-making and painting or follow their own projects. With an emphasis on facilitation rather than teaching, we aim to build self-esteem and confidence, providing a structured space for self-reflection and creative expression.
As well as individual development, we often work towards a group project and display or exhibit participant’s work in public spaces around Watford. These sessions are currently led by Hannah Blunden, please contact Hannah if you wish to know more.
