Raid the rubbish and make a wine cork fairy from household waste. Take some time out to create this Munchmas.
We love the craft opportunities this time of year offers. In amongst the chaos of the shopping, wrapping, and programming of family activities it’s lovely to take a moment to indulge in creativity. From decorating the tree and making Christmas cards to festive songs and cooking in the kitchen Christmas is an all out fest of creativity.
All we need is an excuse to get on the creative and this year more than most, creativity has come into its own as a staple sustainer of wellbeing. It has become clear that creative activities serve to keep us all connected and provide a vehicle for self expression to communicate our ideas and experience of what has been a very tough year for so many.
If you find any time within the chaos, take some time out, get the tunes on and escape into creativity.
During this session we explore simple character creation. Start here and one day you may end up making massive puppets like the Planet Munch Crew. From small Christmas characters to life-sized puppets you never know where it might lead…
For this session you need:
Scissors big and small if you have them.
Sparkly sweet wrapper and packaging
Glue (preferably PVA) or a glue gun.
A drawing pin.
Wire
A wine cork
Bottle lids
Fairy hair – this could be fabric, leaves, shredded paper or cotton wool.
Be careful with the scissors and glue guns.
Have fun and share your pictures with us on social media.
We hope you enjoy our Munchmas Series of Festive Makes, Merry Munchmas and thank you so much for all your watches and shares this year.
Love, love, love from all at Planet Munch. X
