At Trim Tots CIC, we’re delighted to announce the upcoming launch of the Planet Munch Nutrition Digital Learning Platform—an innovative, evidence-based programme designed to support early years practitioners, schools, and public health professionals in promoting healthier lifestyles for children and their families.
This exciting new platform, developed in partnership with UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health and supported by UCL Innovation & Enterprise, builds on years of expertise, creativity, and proven results. Now, we’re inviting partners to work with us as critical friends to help refine the programme, explore its potential, and shape its future.
What Is the Planet Munch Nutrition Digital Learning Platform?
The Planet Munch platform provides comprehensive online training and practical tools for practitioners to deliver engaging nutrition education sessions in schools, nurseries, and community settings. Featuring interactive videos, workshops, and SMART goal-setting techniques, the programme equips families with the knowledge and habits needed to adopt healthier lifestyles.
From balanced nutrition to portion control and food labelling, each session is designed to be fun, accessible, and impactful, combining science and creativity.
As part of this next phase, we’re inviting partners to test the platform, provide feedback, and help us ensure it meets the needs of educators, public health professionals, and families alike.
Collaborate with Us as a Critical Friend
We’re looking for schools, early years settings, and public health professionals to join us as critical friends. Your insights will be invaluable as we finalise the platform and refine our licensing model to make it accessible, effective, and adaptable for diverse communities.
By partnering with us, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Test the platform in your setting and provide feedback on its content, usability, and impact.
- Inform the format of the delivery model exploring what works best for families; in-person workshops, digital access, or a hybrid approach.
- Contribute to positive change, helping us ensure the Planet Munch programme is ready to support families.

Enhance Learning with Savour the Flavour
To complement the platform, we’re developing a programme offer that includes, Savour the Flavour Musical Puppet Show. This engaging, interactive performance brings healthy living messages to life through music, puppetry, and storytelling.
Here’s how it works:
- Bring Savour the Flavour to your school: Host the show for your students, delivering vital nutrition and health messages in a fun, memorable way.
- Access the Digital Learning Platform: Provide your teachers with access to the Planet Munch platform, enabling them to build on the show’s themes with engaging classroom sessions and activities.
- Add Art Workshops: We’ll deliver creative art workshops alongside the show, giving students hands-on opportunities to explore themes of healthy living and creativity.
This combined offer is perfect for schools looking to deliver a holistic, impactful programme that engages students and staff alike.
